Kansas Man Dies After Long Illness
Harry J. Popenhaus, 67, longtime resident of Herington Kansas, died Thursday morning December 29 after several years of illness with complications of diseases and heart trouble. Born August 11, 1877 in Indianapolis he was son of the late Henry Popenhaus and wife. Survived by widow three sons and two daughters all of Kansas a brother William Popenhaus and two sisters Mrs William Mundt and Ida Popenhaus of Columbus Indiana.

Inspection Set for Seymour Lodge 462 Meeting

No Successor For Stradley In Seymour District
W. W. Stradley, general foreman of the Seymour sub-district of the Indiana State Highway Commission, was laid off Friday with no appointed successor. No replacement is expected for several months until the oiling season next summer. James M. Mann, superintendent, oversees the sub-district. Stradley, a present city councilman, has been with the district for years. the action came from state headquarters in Indianapolis. No other personnel changes were reported at Seymour district headquarters.
