Woodrow Richey, about 21 and a former Seymour barber from Milroy, is in Rushville police custody as the Rush County grand jury investigates a Thursday night double shooting in Milroy. Mrs Mary Miller aged 73 died at her Scipio area home at 5 30 this morning after weeks of illness. Born July 16 1859 she was widowed by Solomon Miller who died June 20 this year. Survived by five sons a brother John Hulse of Indianapolis and two sisters Mrs Cora Bradford and Mrs Lydia Jolley of Scipio. Funeral 12 o'clock Monday from the home and 1 o'clock from Oak Grove Church with Rev H J Cross. Burial in Hulse Cemetery Jennings county.

Wreck Victims Improve After Salem Car Crash
Slight improvement noted today in the condition of Jilena Armstrong and Homer Thixton of Salem who were critically injured when their car collided with a state highway truck south of the city. Stains on gloves and belongings of R S McCoin, missing Henderson, N C, were made by human blood. Columbus detectives announced a body seen in a Richmond Va car and a stained glove in McCoin’s abandoned Columbus car fueled a nine day search. Authorities awaited chemical analysis to assess if McCoin is alive or dead. Thomas J Scully said identification could challenge early conclusions if the glove proves human blood. A photo of McCoin matched the man who abandoned the Columbus car and has been seen nearby.
