Local con artist targets three states in egg fraud scheme
Leslie A. Martin 40 of Bloomfield Greene County and his operation harmed Rose Acre Farms and firms in Vigo and Daviess counties. Victims report losses near 100000 as Martin used a barn base to buy poultry items by phone then resell them at reduced prices to outlets from Indianapolis to Terre Haute. Authorities say he faked checks and faces three warrants including fraudulent check charges and parole violations. FBI now probes as more victims come forward and searches widen.
