John G Woody, husband of former Zet ta Brown, died early today at the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis after a three week illness. A railroad employee and World War I veteran, he lived in this city for years and is survived by his widow and two daughters Leah Jeannette and Betty Lou Woody. Funeral arrangements were not announced.

Indictment of Peter P. Babbage for First Degree Murder
A Jackson county grand jury indicted Peter P. Babbage a colored Elks Club custodian for first degree murder in the shooting death of Augustus Brown a 35 year old mobile repairman at the Seymour Independent Club on 100 South Lynn street. The jury deliberated a little over an hour after hearing witnesses and Babbage remains jailed in Brownstown without bond awaiting trial.

Two Change Pleas In Public Intoxication Case
