Seymour Police Chiefs Set to Retire After 44 Years on Force
Two veterans and close friends, Chief Donald F. Scott and Capt. Walfred J. Kleimola, retire January 1 after 22 years with Seymour Police Department each. They recall 1953 entry, pay of 2400 a year, and shifts from rule by a single car to today’s organized force.

Police Probe Four Mishaps
City police investigated four weekend traffic mishaps causing about 1660 dollars in damage with no injuries. A 1970 two door and a 1971 four door, both in East Tipton street, collided after one pulled from a restaurant drive. A second two car crash on Tipton street damaged a 1972 auto driven by Paul Williams. Steven Tabor's 1976 auto was undamaged. A hit run on Noble street damaged Nelson Laraway's 1973 four door. the other vehicle fled.

Grand Jury May Hear Shooting Case Friday in Scott County
