Plane Plunge Drowns 3 Near Put-in-Bay
Three men drowned when a plane plunged into Lake Erie about a half mile off Put-in-Bay today. The pilot was saved. Aboard the plane were three passengers and the pilot. The incident was reported from Toledo Ohio by Associated Press. A search for additional victims was underway.

Two Browns Town High Girls Have Twin Appendix Surgeries
Two fifteen year old Browns Town High School sophomores Delores Pedicord and Waneta Hattabaugh spent Yule tide in Schneck Memorial Hospital for appendectomies. They share a room, physician, and surgeon and requested to remain together during recovery. Both had prior appendicitis attacks and planned removal of their appendixes during the holiday.

State Highways Impose Load Limits in Jackson County
