In Jackson Circuit Court Charles Haag was found guilty of assault and battery with intent to commit a felony. The jury deliberated about four hours after a day of surprising moves by prosecution and defense before reaching the verdict.
Mrs Carrie E Fodermark aged eighty died at her daughter’s home 508 South Walnut Seymour at 2 40 PM after a five month illness. Born October 17 1856 in Washington township Jackson county she moved to Seymour young and lived there. Survived by three children Charles I Ressner Mrs Fred Droege and Mrs Frank Schwab. two other children preceded her in death. five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral 1 30 PM Thursday from the Droege home and 2 PM from Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev Eggers. Burial Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 PM Wednesday.

He was fined 11 dollars costs and ordered to repay 4.20 dollars taken by short changing grocery operator William Imlay on Ewing Street Friday afternoon.

Herb Whiteford near the vicinity charged with public intoxication. Trial delayed from Wednesday morning. Bond set at 500 dollars. Whiteford arrested early Saturday after a disturbance at a cafe on South Chestnut Street.
