Funeral rites for Brownstown farmer A Henry Vahl
A Henry Vahl prominent farmer of Browns town township died at his home near Brownstown at 2 30 this morning after a long illness. Born in Cincinnati September 6 1859 he moved to Jackson County at fourteen and later married Mary Anna Hamann on April 12 1883. They farmed east of Brownstown and raised twins Henry and George before George died at age two and a half and Mary Anna died in 1886.
