Patrick Corrington three month old son of Rudy and Eliza Corrington Brownstown was killed in a car crash on U.S. 276 five miles north of Waynesville North Carolina. Father 19 in critical condition mother 16 with broken pelvis hospitalized. Funeral arrangements pending. survivors include grandparents and great grandparents.

Two Suspects Arrested After Attack On Man
Two men were held in Brown County on charges of vehicle theft and violation of the 1935 firearms act after Neal Sayger of Union Michigan said they robbed him beat him and fired at him as he fled along I 65 near Columbus. Sayger reported the assailants drove off toward Ind 46 and fled to Nashville where they were arrested at 3 30 a m.

Suspect Appears in Jackson Circuit Court on Vehicle Theft
Daniel W. Colvin, 24, appeared in Jackson Circuit Court for a preliminary hearing on a charge of exerting unauthorized control over a motor vehicle. Bond set at $1,000. Colvin, arrested Tuesday night by Seymour police after a report of a stolen 1967 sedan, was spotted driving the car 21 minutes after the report.

Recount Commission Refuses To Sign Report In Indiana Senate Battle
The recount commission refused to sign its report over the same dispute. It found 147 questioned ballots Republican and 26 Democrat. The panel included Pete Winninger and Mae Tolliver, both Republicans. More than 40,000 votes were cast in the 44th district state senate race across five counties, with Klaes and Wilson close overall. Wilson challenged 8,500 Orange County paper ballots. Klaes had lost a prior appeal to block the recount ordered December 14 by Orange Circuit Judge Max Apple. Nov 7 results gave Klaes 21,621 to Wilson 21,610, with Wilson gaining a 1,423 Orange County plurality after the recount.

Burglary Suspects Arrested

State Tax Board awaits revenue sharing replies from many Indiana units
The State Tax Board has asked 114 cities 92 counties 447 towns and 1 009 townships to say by Tuesday if they will use revenue sharing to cut property tax rates. Only one or two units replied in 15 counties and no responses came from the remaining 77 counties.
