Former Local Woman Passes Away in California
Mrs Edna Brown Miller, born in Seymour and longtime Jackson county resident, died at her Long Beach California home after about a month of illness. She was married in New York City in 1934 to Edward F Miller and had lived in Wheeling West Virginia before returning. Funeral services are planned at Voss Mortuary Riverview Cemetery with details to be announced.

Reverend Wiegand Injured in Basement Fall at Bank Building
The Rev. F. J. Wiegand a retired local minister living at 421 West Tipton Street was injured this afternoon after falling down basement steps in the Seymour National Bank building. He was carried home by ambulance and the full extent of injuries was not immediately known. He suffered facial cuts and bruises to the head and body.
