Dytes Abell fifty one of this city was taken to Brownstown to face assault and battery with intent to kill in Jackson circuit court after stabbing Miss Laura Faye Warner fifteen year old on a Saturday night at a location between Seymour and Brownstown. Miss Warner is in Sehneck Memorial Hospital with ten knife wounds not considered life threatening. Abell confessed to stabbing and was later transported by officer Eugene Vance to Brownstown. Two Fire Runs Reported By Seymour Fire Department
Smoke from a flue at Seymour Cafe prompted a Sunday call for the smaller truck at 8 15 a m. No damage. A second fire at the home of Mr and Mrs J Robert Blair caused a short circuit in a radio to blaze destroying the radio and burning window curtains and a window seat. Water from the booster tank on the smaller truck was unused. The Blairs were at church when the fire started.

John A Wilhelm age 63 died at 9 10 this morning at 626 West Second street after a two year illness. He worked as an accountant with First National Bank in Seymour and later in Indianapolis at Fletcher American banks. He headed auditing for firms at Lathrop McFarland and Lathrop Mover Co. He moved back to Seymour recently with his wife Minnie Cordes Wilhelm. He was born October 8 1873 in Canal Fulton Ohio son of Philip and Josephine Kraemer Wilhelm. Survived by widow two daughters Kathrynne Wilhelm Chicago and Mrs William Y Gilmore Jr Oak Park Chicago. one grandson William Y Gilmore II. two sisters Mrs E F Anderson Cleveland Heights and Mrs Charles Flomerfelt Cincinnati. Funeral Wednesday 2 30 from Voss Mortuary with Rev L Dewey Burham. Burial Riverview Cemetery.
