Secretary of Agriculture Anderson announced an inquiry into Thursday's butter price drop in New York as consumer complaints alleged market manipulation to sustain January producer milk prices in the Metropolitan area. Paul Edward Black of Evansville son of Dr and Mrs Clyde S Black will be guest preacher at Trinity Methodist Church Sunday morning at 1030 oclock. He and his wife and their small son will visit his parents for the weekend as the son takes his fathers pulpit. Black has preached at Trinity before and is welcomed again.
Five year old Gary Woodall of Fairland fell through thin ice on Little Sugar Creek while skating Thursday and drowned despite efforts by his four siblings to rescue him.
The Indiana state highway commission approved a step and go traffic signal for the Tipton street and Broadway intersection in Seymour. Officials say the device will ease congestion at U S Road 50 and Alternate U S 31, with installation expected by early spring and uncertain delivery dates.
Three cases taken from Jackson Circuit Court on change of venue. The divorce case Robert A. Henson vs Emma Lorene Henson moved to Lawrence Circuit Court at Bedford. Two state cases in Jennings County involve Jesse T. Combs as defendant. one for assault and battery with intent and the other for interfering with an officer. Charges filed months ago by Malcolm B. Routt when prosecutor.
