Local man fined for operating gaming house
Theo dore Dode Wells of this city was fined 10 plus costs 20 by Mayor Stanley A. Switzer after pleading guilty to operating a gaming house arraigned in city court Thursday. Wells was arrested Tuesday morning when officers entered the basement Lynn Hotel establishment. Several men there were taken into custody but released. A search warrant was signed by Herbert Montgomery. Edwin W. Leckermeyer pleaded guilty to public intoxication and received six months at the state penal farm with good behavior suspension. He was arrested Christmas Eve after a scuffle.

Funeral services for Jesse Junior Wheeler fourteen of Haleysburg Washington County will be held at 2 PM Saturday at the Lakeview Church with Rev Ashun Brownstown in charge.
