Burglary Reported At Notting's IGA Foodliner
Notting's IGA Foodliner in Brownstown was burglarized around 5 45 am. Manager Lester Lambert reported entry through a rear window. About 100 cartons of cigarettes and around 35 dollars in change were taken. inventory will reveal total loss. Police and sheriff investigated.

Christmas 1968 Ends With Quiet Reflections
Christmas Day meals featured ham and turkey at homes and county institutions. Bethel AME Church hosted Goodwill Dinners for 279, followed by a Santa visit for about 160 children. A community service drew 200 in Seymour, and 100 food baskets were distributed by the basket fund co sponsored by the Seymour American Legion Post No 89. Police reported no holiday day injuries.

Robbery near Reddington tied to four suspects in Kentucky-plate car
A Louisville man, Ed Claycomb, reported being robbed and dumped from a tan 1965 Ford station wagon near Redding ton by two men about 18, a 45 year old man, and a woman in her 20s with light brown hair. About $40 was taken from his billfold. State police chased several cars in Greensburg and Rushville areas, but the robbers were not found.
