Four Hurt in Jackson County Accidents Reported
State police investigated four accidents in Jackson County on Thursday and Friday. Four people were treated and released at Schneck Memorial Hospital. Teens in a single vehicle crash west of Seymour suffered head and neck injuries, with one driver 17 needing facial and neck injuries. A second collision on Redding Road involved a 20 year old girl with facial lacerations and chest and knee contusions. Two others faced citations for improper passing and left of center after separate crashes near Crothersville and Rok Sey Roller Rink.

Three Men Arraigned on DUI Charges in Jackson Circuit Court

Three Accidents Investigated By Seymour Police
Seymour police investigated three traffic accidents Thursday and Friday. William Annis, 62, complained of neck injury after a two car crash on South Chestnut street Friday. Janet Mosley, 25, hit the rear of William Arthur’s car as he pulled into a parking space. Damages were $250 to Mosley’s 1962 car and $100 to Arthur’s 1957 auto. A truck driven by James Lucas backed from a space and struck Velma Hall’s car on St. Louis avenue, with $40 damage to Hall’s car and no damage to the truck. Lucas was cited for no parking in a reserved zone. A final collision on St. Louis avenue involved Ralph Applewhite backing into Howard Jones, causing $60 damage to Applewhite’s 1964 car and $40 to Jones’s 1969 vehicle.

Christmas Basket Fund Tops $1416.42 After Late Donations

Training begins for low level routes at Bakalar AFB
The 434th Troop Carrier Wing at Bakalar AFB Columbus starts a new Close Look low level training program on January 1 over isolated southern Indiana routes from Martinsville to Greensburg with no towns in the pattern. Wing Commander Col. John W. Hoff says routes are screened and completely isolated for terrain following flying. This follows an earlier May 1959 nose cone recovery program and marks the wing as the only reserve unit in this top air force study.
