Death summons William Zuber former Seymour theater owner
William O. Zuber age sixty five died Friday morning at Schoneck Memorial Hospital from an intestinal obstruction after falling ill Thursday. He owned the Princess Theater in Seymour before retiring and moved from Vincennes in 1921. Born November 17, 1871 in Vincennes he married Sophia Piepmeyer there January 15, 1900. Survivors include the widow two brothers Joseph and Theodore and a sister Mrs Elizabeth Buhner. Funeral Monday at Vincennes Catholic Church with burial in Vincennes Cemetery.

Trial Date Set For Herb Whiteford In Public Intoxication Case
Trial of Herb Whiteford was set for 9 o clock Wednesday morning after he pleaded not guilty to public intoxication in city court. He was arrested around 1 30 this morning in front of the Puritan Cafe on South Chestnut street following a disturbance with Claude Buher who works at the cafe. Several dishes were broken during the incident.

Ninth car stolen in Seymour area linked to countywide thefts
A 1936 Chevrolet coach owned by L. M. Cross of a Freetown rural route was reported missing Friday night. The theft occurred between 8 30 and 11 in Seymour while the car was locked with ignition off. Cross’s daughter and friends were with him at a movie when the robbery happened. The Cross vehicle marks the eighth Chevrolet stolen in Jackson county with no trace found, the rest including 1933 34 models and a Plymouth.

Mrs. Elizabeth England Dies After Illness at 85
Elizabeth Ann England, 85, longtime Jackson county resident, died Thursday night at Schneck Memorial Hospital after a two week illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at Voss Mortuary with Rev. S. J. Cross officiating. Burial followed Monday at Riverview Cemetery. She was born May 11, 1851 in Washington County. Survived by two sons John England of this city and ATL England of Newcastle, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Her husband Joshua England, Civil War veteran, died December 19, 1930. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Friends may call at Voss Mortuary.
