Christmas Services Draw Large Crowds In City Churches
In numerous city churches Christmas observances drew unusually large crowds with many seating capacities exhausted and some attendees standing. Trinity M E Church held a candle light Christmas program and Rev B E E Fischbach delivered a story sermon titled Going Back to Bethlehem based on Luke 2 1 20. The First Baptist Sunday School presented The Holy Story in nine scenes with pantomime.

Fractured Jaw After Lever Release at Elevator
Frank Hawn an oiler at Farmers' Co-Operative Elevator on West Oak street suffered a fractured lower jaw when a lever released and struck him as he assisted in fitting a power belt on a corn sheller. He was unconscious briefly and taken to Chneck Memorial hospital for X rays. doctors say the jaw fracture is not serious and a fuller head exam is planned.

Balfe Injured In Auto Accident Near Franklin
J R Balfe of Brownstown suffered serious injuries Saturday near Franklin when his coupe collided with Prof Hugh Vandiver of Franklin High School while en route to Indianapolis. Mrs Balfe and O B Moore of Indianapolis were in the Balfe car. Moore rode to Indianapolis with them after the crash. Vandiver received a scalp wound but aided Balfe until Dr Oren Purviance arrived.
