St Paul Lutheran Dedicates Social And Educational Annex
The St Paul Lutheran Church at Borchers north of Cortland dedicated a new Educational and Social Annex after a long dream. About 200 members gathered as Rev. John W Tangman opened the doors and Dr A W Engelbrecht spoke on child education and church life. A Christmas Cantata with 22 participants followed, plus a film on Silent Night. The annex, begun last August, features a 175-seat auditorium, a pastor’s study, a large classroom, tinted paneling, tile floors, and fluorescent lighting with electric heat.

A group of Weber High School students in Ogden Utah described their weekend rocket test as successful. Johnny Stoddard Steve Mercer and Bruce Herrick, all 17, launched a 69 inch two inch heavy steel rocket to 3600 feet at 338 mph near a secret site.
