The first Seymour Christmas tree fire of the season occurred today at 1 PM at Frank Mitchell’s home 804 West Laurel Street. Electric lights on the tree started by a girl caused cotton on the tree to ignite, burning a lace curtain, scorching woodwork, and cracking a nearby window before the tree was destroyed.
