Charles Hawkins was jailed after a pint of Falls City ale was found during a raid on his home seven miles south of the city. He pleaded not guilty at arraignment and is held pending trial as deputy sheriff Edward Dreese game warden Otto Kain and Chief Homer Phillips conducted the raid. The bottle was located in a dresser drawer.
