The Primary Department teachers hosted their annual Christmas party at the church for the young children. A large decorated tree lit with red lights and green crepe streamers set the scene. Children recited songs while Jerry Stratton and William Francis Kinkade sang solos. Santa distributed gifts and candy holly boxes as favors. Guests included Mr and Mrs Earnest Sargent Mr and Mrs D E Niester Mr and Mrs Joe Burton Mr and Mrs Albert Gee and Miss Ella Clements.
Mrs. B. S. Shinnes hosted the Tuesday Five hundred Club and husbands at 217 Calvin Blvd. Festive crepe paper wreaths holly bells and a large decorated Christmas tree adorned the living room. Prizes favored Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burton Mrs. Ernest Sargent and Mr. Albert Gee. Lunch followed in the dining room under a crimson bell and red lighting.
Mr. and Mrs. Cullen B. Barnes plan to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Seba A. Barnes on North Chestnut Street after their Mobile Alabama wedding. An afternoon tea Wednesday invites the bride and friends.
