Bartholomew County Prosecutor Richard Donnelly says the new third first degree murder count against Robert Paul Jones does not affect his motion to dismiss the first two counts. The three deaths stem from a November 9 Columbus shooting spree at Paul’s Cafe. A December 24 hearing in Bartholomew Circuit Court will decide the dismissal motion.

Jackson County will gain at least two RDC representatives in 1976 with a new Seymour mayoral appointee replacing Mayor Christopher D. Moritz. Medora Local Board Sets Flood Plain Hearing
The Medora Town Board will hold a public hearing at 10 a m Saturday at the town hall on the final report of the flood plain commission. The report includes a proposed flood plain zoning ordinance and a flood plain zone map. Written objections may be filed with the town clerk before the hearing and will be read at the meeting. A copy of the final report is available at the town hall.

Christmas Fund Reaches Over Three Thousand Dollars
Treasurer LeRoy Pollert announced the Christmas Basket Fund topped the $3,000 mark for the second straight year. Over the weekend and today $347 was mailed to Pollert at Seymour National Bank and to the Daily Tribune, bringing the total to $3,083.75, within $35 of last year’s final $3,118.87.
