Seymour police investigated three property damage crashes Friday morning blamed on ice. At 9:56 officers cite a collision on West Fourth Street involving Joseph T. Traylor and a Vierling station wagon. Earlier at 8:57 a.m. an alley crash on West Second Street damaged David McCameron and Richard Storey vehicles.

Special License Plate For The Handicapped Approved

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles will issue a new handicap license plate in January. It is available to those permanently unable to use a leg or arm or severely disabled, with an affidavit required to prove eligibility. The plate bears an H, a central number, and the wheelchair symbol and conveys no special privileges.

Browns Town Christmas Cheer Delivers Baskets and Help

About 115 Browns Town area residents receive help this Christmas through the Christmas Cheer program. One hundred fruit and nut baskets go to shut ins and elderly in the Browns Town School District, while 15 food baskets with toys and clothing assist needy families. Deliveries are by the Brownstown Lions Club and FFA. donors include Morgan Packing, Thompson Dairy, Rose Acre Farms, Colonial Bakery, and beverage bottlers.
