Grand Jury Reports County Courthouse and Jail Conditions
The Jackson County Grand Jury found the courthouse generally sound but noted very bad sidewalks and hazardous front entrance lighting. It urged early repairs and removal of tar and oil from the clock tower area. The jail was in good repair, while the old heating plant should be demolished to create parking. The foreman Ray Altemeyer signed the report.
