A pre-dawn blaze at 603 South Broadway drove Larry Burke his wife and two children from their one story home with heavy attic flames observed by passerby William Koerner. Firefigh ters battled the stubborn heat two hours and the cause remained undetermined three days before Christmas. In the same report an AP item notes two police uniforms worth 147 stolen from Patrolman Tomaszewski’s parked car.
