Mrs. Addie Parker Cope 72 longtime Seymour resident died at 3 20 this morning at her son Thomas K E Fountain Cortland Ri southeast of Surprise after seven weeks of severe illness. Funeral services set for 2 pm Monday at Voss Mortuary with Rev Amos L Boren and Rev R S Wilson officiating. Burial Riverview Cemetery. Eastern Star will conduct services. She was born July 29 1868 in Jackson County to Sylvester and Frances L George Hanner both deceased. She lived her life in the county and was married.

Emily Jean Andrews twelve, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Andrews, died this afternoon at 4019 North New Jersey Street Indianapolis after months of illness. She visited her aunt Mrs. Blish and had many friends. She is survived by a half sister Mrs. Paul Jackson of Detroit and half brothers Graham Andrews in Indianapolis and Hugh Andrews in New York City. Burial will be in Indianapolis with funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Motorist Johnson pleads guilty in city court

Catuation Plot Thwarted Again in Kidnapping Case
FBI thwarted an extortion plot targeting Marc De Tristan Jr and his wealthy parents in Santa Rosa California. A suspect approached a cabbage patch rendezvous, found money was fake, and fled. Wilhelm Muhlenbroich, who kidnapped the boy last September, is serving a life sentence in San Quentin. The child was returned unharmed.

Austin Man Injured in Crothersville Car Crash
Leonard Allen of Austin was treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital for a fracture of the right leg after being struck by a car driven by Clay Spow, Crothersville restaurant proprietor, on Howard Street near U.S. Route 31. The incident occurred Thursday night as Allen stepped from behind his parked car. Snow car occupants provided aid and Allen was transported by ambulance.
