Unknown intruders entered Ed Snyder’s South Chestnut Street residence through an unlocked basement door between 11:30 pm and 3:30 am and ransacked the dining and sewing rooms. About $15 in coins plus $1.50 from a coat were taken, with doors and hiding spots searched. Police alerted. suspects described as local youths seeking Christmas money.
Funeral services for Mrs Caroline Getty Mills age 73 well known local woman will be held at the residence 621 North Chestnut street Wednesday afternoon at 3 o clock The Rev James Daniel Martin former pastor of the First Presbyterian church here and now pastor of the Presbyterian church at Lebanon will be in charge of the last rites and the body will be laid to rest in the family lot at Riverview cemetery Mrs Mills died yesterday morning after a two day critical illness death resulting from a stroke of apoplexy
