Arch C. Smith, former resident of this city, was killed Saturday evening in Columbus, Ohio, when struck by a car. Funeral set for Tuesday at 2:30 PM at First Methodist Church with Rev. Golden A. Smith and Rev. W. E. Brown. Burial in Riverview cemetery. He was 50, born February 18, 1876, and survived by Mrs. Smith, a son in California, a brother Frank Smith of Indianapolis, and his parents in Seymour.

Two Bandits Clubs Rob Traveling Salesman Near North Vernon
A traveling salesman for Jewel Tea Company, O. M. Long, was attacked and robbed by two black men in a Buick touring car with Ohio plates near North Vernon at 12 30 PM. He was knocked unconscious and remains in a physician's office. He reported engine trouble earlier on State Road 7 about four miles south of Vernon. The suspects may have fled toward Seymour. Funeral services for Daniel C. Brock age 71 who died Saturday at his son Verda Brock's home in Illinois were held this afternoon at the Acme Christian church. Rev. John M. Cross Brownstown officiated burial in Acme cemetery. He was born September 13 1855 near Bellaire Ohio and lived in Beck's Grove Brown County since youth. Surviving include nine children thirty three grandchildren four great grandchildren a brother three sisters and many relatives. Orland Brock preceded him in death.
