William Schluesemeier of Jackson township won the Jackson county junior corn king honor with 82.5 bushels per acre at a cost of 41.8 cents per bushel. Everett Otte of Jackson township earned second place. The winner receives a trip to the Boys and Girls Club Round-up at Purdue.
Mrs. Charles Campbell reports her husband missing for six weeks after a river trip with Harry Reed from Seymour. She asks authorities to search near Ft Ritner, then for a man named Emmons between Brownstown and Medora, fearing possible drownings in high water.

Dublin reports Eamonn De Valera will submit a new set of proposals for settlement with Great Britain to the Dail, as anti treaty leaders push for rejection of the pact. Final votes expected late today or tomorrow on Austin Stack’s rejection and Griffith’s ratification motions.
