Seymour Police Seek Hit And Run Driver
Seymour city police are seeking a hit and run driver who damaged a parked 1950 coach owned by Hazle Wells at 313 North Broadway. The car was parked on the west side of North Broadway 100 feet south of East Fourth street when struck in the rear causing about 20 dollars damage. Officers Donald F. Scott and Jackie R. Nowling investigated.

Jackson Circuit Court’s October term heard three criminal cases and two divorce petitions this morning. Robert Seegers faces a February 10 trial for driving under the influence with Judge Chester A. Davis presiding. Charles E. Brown pled guilty to a second reckless driving count and was fined 25 dollars and costs. the first count was dismissed. Richard Hill likewise pled guilty to a third reckless driving charge, fined 25 dollars and costs, with prior charges dropped. Darline Stevens v Millard Stevens saw Judge Lienberger named as special judge for a venue change. George O Berry v Doris J Berry granted a divorce to the defendant on a cross complaint, with custody of a minor awarded.

Blood Drive Sees 72 Donors Amid Shortage Warmling
In a New Year effort to ease a blood shortage, 72 Seymour and Jackson County residents donated at the Red Cross drive in the Knights of Columbus hall. The Bloodmobile from Louisville operated 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 107 pint quota. 78 volunteered, six were rejected for medical reasons.
