Woman Killed By Auto Identified In Johnson County
The body of 48 year old Georgie Stenger of Indianapolis was found on State Road 37 near Smith Valley Road. Two youths, 19 year old Thomas Gibson and 17 year old Harold Gibson of Martinsville, are detained in Franklin as investigation continues. Police credited Seymour post officers and Indianapolis police for solving the case.

Two Pedestrians Hit By Autos In City Crashes
A 76-year-old man, Ray R. Keach, suffered minor injuries after being struck by a car driven by Marvin Avis Green at East Second and Ewing streets while crossing in a crosswalk. A separate chain of crashes involved a National Guard jeep and several autos on Chestnut Jackson streets, plus ice on East Second Street causing two collisions.

About 3,500 people packed Shields High School Memorial gym Saturday for Arvin Industries employees and families. Santa arrived by helicopter piloted from Lunken Airport, then sat on a throne as Glenn Seward hosted the program with Miss K Green and Her Friends performing dogs and a monkey act. A one man band entertained while Miss Betty Tilton wowed with a globe routine and Harry Foster Welch spoke as the Man of a Thousand Voices.
