State Police to Get Pay Raise Across Indiana
State police troopers at the Seymour post and across Indiana will gain $25 monthly starting January 1, following a budget committee order. About 230 uniformed officers will receive the raise, along with nearly 100 civilian clerks and stenographers getting a 10 percent boost. Probationary troopers will earn $175 monthly, one-year men $190, and five-year men $200, plus $70 subsistence.

Potts Boy Rites Scheduled At Crothersville
Daniel Lloyd Potts 10 of Crothersville died after a lingering illness. Born May 25, 1937 in Jackson County, he was the son of Edward and Marguerite Potts. Funeral set for 2 pm Saturday at Kovener Funeral Home Crothersville with burial at Crothersville Cemetery. He is survived by two brothers, Randel and Bradley, and a sister Barbara. Grandparents Thomas Potts of Indianapolis and Delbert Thomas of Austin also survive. Friends may call at the Potts home until noon Saturday then at Kovener Funeral Home. In Washington Indiana Representative Ralph Harvey was named to the House committee on expenditures in executive departments.
