The Indiana Telephone Corporation asked the Indiana Public Service Commission in Indianapolis for authority to issue half a million dollars in bonds. The purpose is to pay off bank loans and to finance property improvements. A 1940 sedan rear ended a pickup in heavy traffic on East Second Street near Vine Street. Front of the sedan sustained about 150 dollars in damage while the truck tail gate had about 25 dollars damage. Donald L. Hart of 821 Pershing Street drove the sedan.
