Woman Injured as Car Goes Into Ditch Near City
W G Hughes of Indianapolis and a female companion were headed to Louisville when Hughes, charged with public intoxication, pleaded guilty before Mayor W Burkart and paid fines totaling 40 plus 10 costs. About 5:30 this morning their sedan left U S Road 50, went into a ditch a mile west of the city. Hughes was arrested, the car towed to the station, the woman sustained a bruised back and minor injuries treated by a local physician, Hughes was uninjured.

He has been in the Seymour Flying Service instruction class less than a month and is praised by L Cov pilot and instructor for his promise. The solo was in the Parks student ship at the local airport making him the youngest local boy to solo.

Mrs. Mattie Kenworthy of Vallonia is undergoing rabies prevention treatment at Dr. D J Cummings office in Brownstown after a dog belonging to Owen Brewer seriously bit her on Tuesday. The dog was killed and its head sent to Indianapolis for testing. it reportedly had rabies when the incident occurred. The dog chased and attacked the woman as she attempted to drive it from a neighbor’s yard, biting her four times on the right arm and ankle. arm wounds were serious due to flesh tearing.
