J P Gagan a Crothersville junk dealer was sentenced to 1 to 14 years after pleading guilty to grand larceny. He confessed to stealing 14 automobile tires inner tubes sugar sacks and other merchandise from a B and O yard car and to robbing Bartman and Son of North Vernon of furs valued at 75 dollars. He was arrested by Sheriff Otis Hays and deputies after an investigation.

Enraged farmer kills wife then self in Logansport
