City firemen responded to two alarms Thursday at Hart's Sandwich Shop on South Chestnut Street and at Beal per milly ser egprim 2 oration on West Tipton Street. They were called at 8 25 p m to Hart's for an overheated motor in the basement with no damage. Earlier a resident warned of a trash fire at the Telephone Corporation property but firefighters found the blaze under control.

Soldier Home on Convalescent Leave from Viet Nam

Youth Escapes Injury In Crash On Ind 250
A Cortland R1 youth, George C. Caudill, 17, escaped injury when his 1961 four door car skidded on a curve on Slygo Hill and damaged the vehicle in a single vehicle crash 1.3 miles south of Brownstown on Ind 250 at 10 55 p m Thursday. The car skidded into a culvert near the Roscoe Overshiner home and rested against a woven wire fence. Trooper Robert N. Lewis reported.
