Local Man Killed In Mill Tragedy In Milton
Milton George White 82 of 316 East Street died Monday afternoon after slipping into a screw conveyor at Acme Goodrich grain mill at Tipton and East. Deputy Coroner Burkholder ruled accidental death by shock. His brother Byron White was hospitalized in shock. Police examined the scene for over an hour, recovering the severed leg parts and indicating a fall while climbing between conveyors. Funeral plans to be announced after relatives arrive from Michigan. Assistance from Chief Winn and Officers Theele Gill and Flynn noted.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile visiting Seymour collected 109 pints from Jackson County residents, beating the 107 pint quota for the first time since June.
