Edward C Peterman a 54 year old Seymour business leader died suddenly at his home six days after his wife Elizabeth Petterman passed away He was president and in charge of Graessle Mercer Company printing and binding a native of Covington Ky he moved to Seymour years ago returning in 1916 as general manager His death followed after heart disease had not troubled him before retirement Tuesday night Funeral arrangements will be announced later friends may call at Voss Mortuary Thursday

Seymour City Council Endorses Defense Plan With Legion
Seymour city council approved the American Legion defense initiative and named a council committee to work with the Legion. Mayor Switzer to appoint Hartwell, McCrary and Herwig to the defense panel. The meeting also allowed United Brethren use of the council chamber for worship until April 1 and noted sewer and lighting project updates. Park bills, including a summer water bill, were approved and a gum tree from Gaiser park will be donated for lumber use by the city street force.

Mrs Mary Hackman Beikman 59, lifelong Seymour resident, died at 4 40 this morning at 10 West Jackson Street after a six week illness. Funeral services were held Saturday from her home and Trinity Methodist Church with Rev Clyde Black in charge. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery. She was born January 25, 1891, to Georgie F and Anna Schneider Hackman.
