New County Court Opens With New Recording Equipment
Judge Frank W. Guthrie announces the opening of the new county court in the federal building with $3,200 in recording gear. A cassett recorder and transcribing unit enable oral testimony to be captured and written briefs prepared. Brownstown Town Board Sets Flood Zone Review
The Brownstown Town Board decided that a zoning administrator and the Flood Plain Commission will review building permits in flood prone areas. Clerk treasurer Mrs Ardena Reinbold will serve as zoning administrator. A flood prone ordinance was passed earlier this month. The board tentatively accepted Hamilton Motors bid for a mini bus. if a grant is received the bid will be accepted. Final claims for the year were signed. All five members were present. The next meeting is 7 p.m. January 5 at the town hall.
