Driver Cited After Accident at Tipton and O'Brien Streets
Barbara J. Moren 25 of 1572 Morningside Drive was cited for reckless driving after a two car crash at noon Tuesday at Tipton and O'Brien streets. Mildred C. Decker 52 of 704 Noble Street sustained rear impact damage when Moren moved from the left lane into Decker's path. Marines Help Evacuate Fire Hit Hillside Hotel
Three Marines aided the Hillside Hotel evacuation in Madison Indiana as flames destroyed the 40 room landmark near the Ohio River. Captain Bruce McLaren and Sgts Richard Daugherty William Leschak carried 46 year old John Acton to safety from a burning roof while guests mostly young men escaped unharmed.
