Local man dies in Port Clinton truck mishap
A Seymour man Russell L. Harry thirty five was killed and Herman Bud Butcher twenty one slightly injured when a large truck owned by Harry plunged over an embankment at Port Clinton Ohio. They were riding in the vehicle attributed to Interstate Trucking Company with headquarters in Chicago. The crash happened as they moved from the gasoline to the reserve tank and the truck veered off centre before going over the bank. Butcher reported the incident to his mother by telephone before noon. He will return to Seymour after reporting in Chicago.

Theft of Five Rings and a Watch Solved by Police Chief
Julius G. Harlow, Seymour chief of police, solved a break in at St. Louis avenue and Poplar street where five rings and a watch belonging to Mrs. John EnDaly were stolen. Three rings were recovered from a local jewelry store. two rings and the watch were found after investigation. A boy alleged to have taken them was severely reprimanded with no charges filed.
