Dr. N. M. King Dies Founder of North Vernon Concern
Dr. N. M. King aged 65 a former assistant collector of Internal Revenue in Indianapolis died of a heart attack. A Rochester Minnesota native he earned medical and dental degrees at the University of Minnesota and in 1908 founded the King Manufacturing Company at North Vernon. He later served with the State Chamber of Commerce and joined government service as deputy collector of internal revenue in 1921.

William H Judd aged 47 a well known Cortland area farmer died Thursday night at his home three miles west of Cortland from apoplexy after three days of illness. He lived in Jackson County most his life and raised purebred livestock especially hogs gaining local renown. He was born December 25 1882 at Spraytown son of Seabury and Martha Judd married September 20 1908 to Mabel Wil in Surprise. Survived by widow four children four sisters and one grandchild Betty Jane Browning. Funeral at Cortland Church Sunday at 11 with Rev William DeHart. burial Riverview Cemetery.
