Donors of Blood For Monday Asked
The Red Cross Bloodmobile from the Louisville Regional Blood Center will visit Seymour Monday December 19 for a Christmas round up of voluntary donors. It will be stationed at the American Legion Home Second and Walnut Streets from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All blood types are welcome with type O negative urgently needed. Brownstown man Slightly Hurt In West Seymour Collision
A Brownstown man was slightly injured when he was thrown from a pickup truck in a collision on West Second street road west of Seymour at 4 10 Tuesday afternoon. Clarence D. Helton drove a 1950 pickup west. Woodrow H. Hehman turned from a side lane in a 1953 model. Helton skidded, striking Hehman’s left front fender. Helton’s passenger Arthur S. Gerking sustained a bruised elbow but no hospital treatment. Damages were about 250 dollars to one truck and 50 to the other.

101st Division To Be Third Major Paratroop Outfit
The Army announced the 101st Airborne Division will become the third major paratroop combat unit. Total combat divisions will reach 19 by year end, with 82nd and 11th as existing airborne divisions.
