Roy Toops thirty three is held in New Albany on a first degree murder charge for the death of William Turner eighty two. Katherine Plue forty five is held as a material witness after a raid at Will Roberts cabin on State Road 135. Prosecutor Frank Lorch says Toops refused to sign a statement but confessed to being at a drinking party when Turner was hurt and later denied reading writing.
