Seymour Chamber Elects Prentice New Head for 1967
H William Prentice, local real estate agent, was elected president of the Seymour Chamber of Commerce for 1967 at a noon board meeting. He will take office Jan 9. Pursued Car Strikes Semi Truck Six Hurt
A high speed chase ended near Seymour when a pursued car left U.S. 50, hit a tractor truck, and crashed into a ditch. Basket Fund Soars To 414 In Seymour Community Drive

Rivers Falling Slower as Flooded Highways Remain Closed
White and Muscatatuck rivers recede but at least five state highways stay shut from floodwaters near Seymour. Ind 39 near Tampico and Ind 258 west of Seymour are among the closed routes while Lower Rockford Road north of Seymour also remains flooded.

Dr Louis H Osterman 72 former Seymour health officer and longtime physician in the city died at Schneck Memorial Hospital at 2 55 pm Monday after a two week illness He had been admitted November 27 released Saturday then readmitted Monday Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 am from Voss Chapel with Rev J Carleton Riddick in charge Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery Osterman a lifelong Jackson County resident born September 15 1804 was a World War I veteran and IU School of Medicine graduate in 1925 He interned at City Hospital Indianapolis and Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York City.
