New Scout Executive James Noggle To Reside Here
James Noggle of Seymour has become district scout executive of Shawnee district Hoosier Hills Area Council. He will administer Shawnee district including Jackson and Jennings Counties with 31 units, 11 Cub Scout packs 16 Boy Scout troops and four Explorer units. Noggle served as Scoutmaster in Bloomington and Explorer advisor in Kalamazoo and Virgina Minnesota as a volunteer leader and joined Scouting in 1943. He recently completed a 45 day course at the National Training Center Scouts of America Mendham New Jersey. He is a council professional staff member and joins 20 executives from 13 states at the training.

Children Suffer Minor Injuries At Schneck Memorial Hospital
Three children were treated and released for minor injuries at Schneck Memorial Hospital on Thursday. Paul Terry, 10, fell on ice at Wallonia School and injured his left wrist, was admitted at 4:15 p m and released after X ray. Sammy Lee Goodman, 4, cut his forehead on a porch at home and was sutured and released after treatment. Tuberculosis Tine Tests Reported for Jackson County
The Jackson County Tuberculosis Association reported results from Tine skin tests given to 1,693 children and 83 adults in Seymour and county schools. Of those tested, 87 were positive reactors. Tests covered multiple townships and numerous schools including Brownstown Cortland Medora Seymour High Schools and St Ambrose. Education on TB control will start in January with lectures by Fred Nuss.
