Driver Escapes Injury In Train Collision In Seymour
Elmo Lee Coker, 23, of Seymour, escaped injury when his 1949 sedan was demolished after colliding with a Baltimore and Ohio switch engine at the O’Brien street crossing at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday. Police report show Coker failed to see the engine passing on the track and drove into its path. The engine, operated by Harry Pickelsimer, moved 75 feet before stopping. engine damage estimated at $50.
