The Tuberculosis Association of Jackson County reports $3,146.20 raised in the first 21 days of the 1964 Christmas seal sale, up from $2,188.25 last year, with $2,353.80 still needed to reach the $5,500 goal for 1965. Nine adults and one child were examined at a free chest clinic, and Tine skin test results in Seymour schools were discussed. Rev. Norman Jasper presided at the December meeting.

Seymour Board Purchases Three New School Buses
Seymour Community Schools board met Thursday night to approve bids for three 66 passenger buses and to discuss forming a new consolidated school corporation. Jack Chaille Company won the body contract at 3146.78 per body and Jack Dunfee Chevrolet Oldsmobile won the chassis contract at 2318.72 per chassis. Two buses replace nine-year-olds and the third serves as a spare. bids were opened per legal notice.
