Contracts Signed For Site Improvement At New School By Board
The Seymour Community Schools board signed two contracts for site improvements on the new senior high school site on West Second Street Road. Repp & Mundt, Inc. for $135,247 and Dunlap & Co., Inc. for $26,414 will oversee drives, walks, curbs, drainage, parking, grading, seeding, fences, tennis and basketball courts, and outdoor fields. The board also approved purchasing adjacent property on Vine Street for $3,000 to extend the playground. Edward P. Elsner Jr. was reappointed attorney for 1959. Granger H. Smith reported on the Indiana School Boards Association meeting, noting a $3,000 house purchase, and Hill and Harman were signed to teaching contracts.

A collision on East Tipton street near South O'Brien street at 11:30 am caused about 140 in damage to two westbound autos.
