Brownstown residents may have natural gas heating by next winter pending approval from the Public Service Commission of Indiana and the Interstate Commerce Commission. The Jackson County Chapter of the American Red Cross urges residents to donate blood at the Seymour bloodmobile on Monday December 16 at Knights of Columbus Hall from 10 30 a m to 4 30 p m. Local doctors J M Black Ralph O Bosch and C A Wiethoff will oversee donations as a minimum quota of 107 pints is sought due to acute need. Only 153 pints have been collected in three visits this fiscal year and 50 pints were used in Oct and Nov at Sehneck Memorial Hospital. Donors should register with the Red Cross or walk in to help meet the Christmas season demand.
